Copyediting

In Copyediting, we provide three levels of service: level 1 or copyediting, level 2 or line editing, level 3 or substantive editing. We can handle STM and Humanities texts. Our house style for grammar and punctuation is The Chicago Manual of Style, 17th edition (CMoS), and our default dictionary for spelling convention is the Merriam-Webster Unabridged dictionary. Clients are also welcome to request that their manuscript be edited in accordance with any other well-known publishing style and/or dictionaries of their own choosing. We would be happy to accommodate, if we are able, all such requests or even compliance to our regular house style with any stated exceptions of the client. Our aim, irrespective of our level of service, is to provide you with a well-edited manuscript that is ready to be published and be made available to your target audience.

Editorial Proofreading

In Editorial Proofreading, we edit the proof for style, consistency, typos, grammar, and sense. We do word-to-word content match when required. Proofreaders also check the 3 font size and style of headings and captions, page flow, end-of-line hyphens, page breaks, page layout, and design. We o􀆤er expert proofreading and editing services for all kinds of books, journals, and manuscript. Our experienced proofreaders are adept at various genres and can o􀆤er reliable and comprehensive proofreading services. The proofreading team is highly skilled and gives a lot of attention to detail and identify the tiniest slips such as punctuation marks, missing letters, etc.

Indexing

In Indexing, we handle the following kind of work: generating key words, page number insertion, checking page flow, styling the index as per customer specification, working on revised edition and others. There is no substitute for a good index produced by an indexer, who carefully analyses the text, identifies the important concepts, provides links between related, sometimes un-named concepts and allows for alternative approaches for users. Our indexers have a strong awareness of facts, and tie in well with writing and editing skills capable of reviewing, compiling, and determining an e􀆤ective index.

Alt Text Writing

In Alt Text Writing, we write descriptions of images in a book, so that a visually challenged reader can understand the images in a book and gain the equivalent knowledge as a sighted person gain when viewing these images. We create alternative text for shapes, pictures, charts, tables, SmartArt graphics, or other objects. Alternative text helps readers understand the content of the pictures. We do levels ranging from simple (single element photos) to complex (technical diagrams with multiple parts) and write concise content describing the pictures. ALT Tags are invisible descriptions of images which are read aloud for blind users with a screen reader. Adding ALT text allows authors to include images, but still provide the content in an alternative text based format.

We also offer illustration services. Illustration is an extremely important tool in the world of publishing. They are a way of giving the readers a visual explanation of your text. We offer the following services: image correction, redrawing/relabeling, technical drawing, and medical drawing.
